About my day

(Mostly about shopping and a lot and after that)

On a cold freezing morning, I woke up SO tired that I wanted to sleep again but my Mum

BARGED in and said.. “GOOD MORNING”. I woke up STRAIGHT AWAY. As soon as I woke

up, I walked around until.. I HEARD A BABY CRYING.

I raced to my Mum’s room and saw Zion CRYING! I carried him and made stop crying.

After that I ate breakfast and changed clothes. After all of that, we all went into the car.

(including Zion) (witches my baby brother).

After getting in the car we drove to the WAREHOUSE!! At the warehouse my little brother

Myu san got a lot of stationery. 

We took a long time to calculate and take some things out. It was tough taking things out of

our basket. But we didn’t really care. We also got some really cool headphones. 

I also got a BEAUTIFUL butterfly necklace and some earrings that go with my necklace.

After buying all that stuff, we went to ISMART. 

At ISMART we had to answer some questions and get registered. After we went to ISMART

my mum had to go to the panmure chinese shop to buy a blue Swiss roll and some snacks for

me and Myu son.

After that we went to a indian shop. After that we ordered some pizza. As we got our pizza

we went back home and ate pizza with cake as our dessert. After eating me and Myu son

started crafting and then we started writing. After writing me and Myu san can watch a

movie/ipad.

I felt extremely happy, excited, jolly and confident. I am so blessed to have a fun happy

mom. Today was the BEST day EVER!!

On a cold freezing morning, Me and my brother RUSHED to my Mum’s room finding her AWAKE!! The reason why we came into her room in the first place was because we wanted to see our CUTE little baby brother.

My Mum’s first words were “Go eat breakfast” but we didn’t. We ignored her and kept on playing with our little baby brother. 

Our little baby brother’s name is Zion Ningja Jing Hpaw. Ningja is his Kachin name. Our language is Burmese but the language we speak at our house is Kachin.

A few minutes later my Mum said “Eat breakfast” AGAIN. But we ignored her again and kept on playing with him. An hour later, my Mum yelled “GO EAT BREAKFAST”. But my brother Straight up said “I’m not hungry”. My mum shouted “GO!”.

After she said that, I walked to the kitchen with my fluffy warm pastel pink slippers. I grabbed a bowl, put it on the counter, walked to the refrigerator, opened the refrigerator door, grabbed the milk, opened the lid of the milk, poured the milk into the bowl, closed the milk, putted the milk into the refrigerator, carefully put the bowl in the microwave, put it to quick 1 minute, grabbed the cereal box, once the milk was done i putted the cereal in the milk and that was how i made my CEREAL!! 

I grabbed my cereal and walked to the living room. I put the cereal down on the ground. I walked to my, my little brother’s, and my dad’s room to get my chromebook. As i got my chromebook i raced to the living room with my chromebook and watched while eating my cereal (my breakfast). 

Once I was finished eating, I put my plate back but my mum saw me and told me to wash the dishes. So I did. After I washed the dishes, my mum told me to carry Zion so she could change clothes. After I carried Zion he started to sleep and my mum carried him so I could change. After changing, my mum packed her stuff for the baby.

After all that we went into the car and my mom drove to DRESSMART. When we got there we went inside the elevator and the elevator took us to DRESSMART. When we got there, my mum forgot her PURSE/WALLET!! We went back in the elevator and got the purse/wallet.

After that we went back to the elevator and got to Dressmart. The first shop we went to was FILA. While we were walking there, we found a candy shop. It was so colourful that I couldn't stop looking at it. I told my little brother not to look at it.

As we arrived at the FILA shop, my mum didn’t like the shoes there so we left and went to the sketchers shop which was next to FILA. My mom found light blue shoes. I didn’t like it that much but I didn't want her to be disappointed so I said that those shoes could be my school shoes.

But we left anyway. After that we saw Converse so we took a QUICK peak. (literally). But my mom said that she didn’t like laces because it takes a LOOONG TIME. After a quick peak we went to the NIKE STORE. We buyed 3 pairs of shoes. 1 for Myu san and 2 for me. 

After buying nike shoes we went to the donut store. My mom wanted a box of six, so me and my little brother picked three donuts each. After buying donuts we saw the candy shop so my mom let me and my little brother pick 1 candy each. We both chose lollipops. 

After that we took a break. Until my mom wanted to order a TANK smoothie. So she ordered one. She gave me the order so she could go to the bathroom to feed zion. My brother ate a donut and so did i. 

After finishing my donut, I started to walk in front of the counter of TANK. It took AGES for the smoothie to be finished but I didn't bother because it looked satisfying when the TANK workers made the smoothie. We also buyed water, butter chicken with rice and naan

After the smoothie was finished we all took the shopping bags and went in the elevator to go to the car park. After all of that we arrived at home. 

We were so happy until… MYU SAN ruined it by pushing Zion’s head to my glasses. Zion cried so MUCH because it hurted. My Mum was so angry at Myu san but she was crying too. When we got to the house I unpackaged everything. After I unpackaged everything we buyed, my little brother and my mom had a MASSIVE argument. 

I ate butter chicken with rice and naan with my little brother. I dipped the naan in the butter chicken, it didn’t really have that much flavour but i kept on eating it like that. 

After eating, I took care of zion. After that i asked my mom if i could watch ipad and she said yes. Me and my little brother watched for HOURS. After watching, we had to learn and that’s when I started to write this. Now I'm going to read Ella’s diary.

Today I felt amazing, happy, excited, sad, angry, calm, and happy again. 

About us:

My mom: My mom is the best mom i could EVER wish for. Her name is Ahpan or Apan. She is 36 yrs old and she was born in Myanmar.

Zion: Zion’s full name is Zion Ningja Jing Hpaw. He is 1 months old and he was born in New Zealand.

Myu san: Myu san is my little brother. He is 7 yrs old and he was born in New Zealand.

Retelling a Story - How Matariki Came to Be

 The Story of Tanemahuta, Papatuanuku, and Ranginui is a beautiful one - rich with opportunities to use descriptive, and emotive language.

Your task today is to retell this story - based on what you learnt yesterday from the 

video we watched, and the story you read today 

you will retell the story from a different perspective.

Perspective is the point of view of a character. Instead of telling the story like you are a ”fly on the wall” you are telling the story as if you were that character.

Choose one of these characters to write from the perspective of;

• Ranginui, or Papatuanuku

• Tane Mahuta

• Tawhirimatea

What was the word like for me before the separation? Jealous

How did I feel once the separation happened? Quite happy

What kind of emotive, or descriptive words can I use to show how I felt? I felt a lot of jealousy in me. I felt so jealous that I unleashed my flaming anger.

BEGIN YOUR WRITING HERE: On a ferocious pitch black day there was a lovely couple. Only darkness was surrounding them. They were restricted and unable to move.  In between the couple there were their lovely children.Their children were crouched between them. Their children didn’t want to be crouched between them. They wanted to see the light.  Tumatauenga the god of war suggested that they will beat their parents to death. But Tane Mahuta (which is me for now) wanted to separate them.  So tane mahuta lay down on his mother, put his legs on his father and pushed as hard as he could. Throwing his father up into the sky and leaving his mothers below in tears. When they were separated their children saw a small glimmer of light appearing. Tawhirimatea was so angry. Unleashing his anger and blowing winds to and fro as a way of sharing his pain with his brothers.  Then he started to gouge his eyes out as a symbol of his love and hurt, throwing them above into the milky way above. Now Tawhirimatea is now an unseeing god. This was how the constellation of Matariki came to be. Extra#: Matariki is a celebration to remember your lost loves and to remember Tawhirimatea sacrifice.

It is quite obvious that I have the role of Waipunarangi. For example I mostly do a house tour to my Mum’s/Dad’s and my friends. This means I am kind? We can therefore see that I have the role of Waipunarangi.
