Storyboarding Your Story
A storyboard is a visual representation of a story - we use different slides to SHOW what is happening in the story.
Your task is to draw pictures to show us what happens in the story.
You will have to select important events from your story that show us characters, their actions/emotions, and the setting (where they are).
SCENE ONE: | SCENE TWO: | SCENE THREE: |
On Dillon’s birthday, Harley woke up and heard the sounds of sparks. As he went out of his room to see what it was, he saw his brother Dillon on a brand new scooter that sparks. When Dillon went outside, Harley followed his brother outside and asked if he could ride the scooter but Dillon said “NO”. | Dillon would keep his scooter under his bed until mom let him sleep with it. On the next day Dillon was gonna go to his friend’s birthday party. He begged mom if he could bring the scooter with him to the party but mom shook her head. After Dillon went. Harley took the scooter outside and rode it secretly. | At dinner time, Dad said “that's the best present we ever bought you, don’t you think?”. Dillion nodded. Mom suggests that Harley should have a turn. But dad disagreed. Dad said that Dillon just got the scooter. Mom said that it has been 2 days since he got the scooter. But dad said give him time. |
SCENE FOUR: | SCENE FIVE: | SCENE SIX: |
While Dillon and Harley were sleeping, Harley woke up from the sound of mom and dad arguing. In the morning mom and dad ignored each other. While the kids got packed for school, Dad kissed Dillon and Harley on the forehead except for mom. After work, dad smiled at mom and hugged her. | Harley tried to forget about the scooter. On Sunday, Harley kept on asking Dillon if he could ride on the scooter but Dillon kept on ignoring him. Harley told mom. As mom and Harley went out of the house, mom told Dillon to give Harley a turn on the scooter but Dillon said a big massive “NO” and scootered away. Then his dad came to Dillon and forced him to give the scooter. After Dillon gave the scooter to his brother Harley, he slammed the front door SHUT. When Harley scootered, it didn’t feel fun. So harley gave the scooter back to Dillon. | On the next day, Dillon came back home crying. While he was talking, he was sobbing. It was hard to understand him so Mom warped her hand around him and then Dillon said that when he went out of the toilet his scooter was gone. Harley put his arm around his brother and said “it’s okay, we don’t need that scooter anymore”. In Harley’s mind, he’s thinking about a kid riding the scooter. |
